Adaptation in an Animal
An adaptation is a trait that becomes commonplace in a species because it benefits the survival of organisms in that species in someway. The pouches on these pelicans are adaptations. They allow the pelicans to scoop an entire fish from the water and hold it. This picture was taken in Shelter Cove, California.
